The Berne Preschool strives to provide a nurturing environment where the transition of home centered learning to school centered learning can begin. The staff works to provide a pleasant environment where the child feels loved and secure and experiences the love of God while learning the values of everyday Christian living. The curriculum focuses on the total development of the child: spiritual, emotional, social, physical and mental. This mission promotes social, emotional and academic readiness for the future.

What You'll Find in Our Classroom
Albert Einstein once said, “Play is the highest form of research,” and at Berne Preschool we use a playful learning approach to help each child grow, learn and develop. Our play is carefully chosen and designed to help children:
- express themselves through creativity
- participate in movement
- explore their world
- role play and pretend
- observe and discuss
- engage in language through songs, books and written words
- build relationships with others and with Jesus.
We believe that success in kindergarten is determined by the child’s readiness to learn. We teach numbers and letters, but we also help your child develop the learning, personal and social skills needed for success in elementary school and beyond.

Registration Information:
Registration for the upcoming school year takes place on the last Monday in April at 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the lower level of First Mennonite Church. Following registration, we will continue to accept students until our classes are full.
Delay Schedule
South Adams 2 hour delay:
Berne Preschool AM classes 10:30-12:00 & PM classes 1:15-2:45
South Adams 3 hour delay:
Berne Preschool AM classes 11:15-12:45 & PM classes 1:15-2:45.
South Adams canceled: Berne Preschool canceled
